“The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing in the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.”
- Lady Dorothy Nevill
Only speak when someone needs help. When you realized you’ve said the wrong thing, apologize. Even if the communication is already ruined, at least you’ve recognized that you are wrong. Never have too much pride that you can’t even afford an apology. Get off your high horse.
I find it really cute when people say they want to be an elementary teacher or open up their own coffee/flower shop.
I don’t like people that try to impress everybody. It’s okay to be friendly, but it’s not okay to go all out just to impress people that you want to be friends with and forgetting the ones you already have. Four quarters over a hundred pennies.
When someone doesn’t respect their family, there is only a limited amount of respect they’ll be able to give to you. When they can’t even respect and appreciate people that provide them with money, shelter, and love- how will it be different with other people?
I can never relate to people that say they live in a house that doesn’t feel like home, or have people in their lives that don’t act like family. Not a humble brag, just blessed. But why would you ever hate family, and how could parents ever feel comfortable making their children so unwelcomed at home?
So if one day I’m feeling sad or discouraged, I’ll choose to do/find something on this list
“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
Don’t let the money blind your eyes. Don’t let success devour your mind. Remain the same person that you are. Stay humble.
I like people that give without expecting anything in return. I like people that are open minded to other people’s perspectives. I like people that admit it when they’re wrong. I like people with standards and a goal. I like people that aren’t smart but try their hardest to make up for it.
Even though it’s only 18 days into the month, and it may be too soon to say it but this may be the best and happiest month of the year for me.
