I know this is supposed to be an instagram thing, but..

ANGELINA JOLIE

Jolie has been on field missions around the world and met with refugees and internally displaced persons in more than 30 countries. Asked what she hoped to accomplish, she stated, “Awareness of the plight of these people. I think they should be commended for what they have survived, not looked down upon.”

She covered all costs related to her missions and shared the same rudimentary working and living conditions as UNHCR field staff on all of her visits.

I admire people that strive to help people in need; people that not only say they care but are willing to travel to another country and physically help them. It is one thing to admit you care or you’re willing to provide financial aid. But the ones that dedicate their time to build houses, educate children, spread necessities, etc. are the people that I truly admire.

Seven in one day, and I’ve only been to two places today. Find happiness in the simple things in life. One just says: “I finally got my taco” Because little things like these make me really happy.

Life Lessons of 2012:

Life is a balance between give-and-take; If you do not take the initiative to do something, life will reward you with nothing.
Don’t be bitter, do better.
Never keep score. You will never be losing in life as long as you do not keep score.
Do what makes you happy, even if you have to do it alone.
There’s no such thing as good or bad karma, the only reason you should ever want to do good things is because you can be reassured that you’ve tried your best, and if it doesn’t work out then it’s life’s fault and not yours.
If you cannot think of a reason of why you should not do something, then just go do it. Even if you mess up, you will know that you at least gave it a try.
It’s not important to have everything, just a handful of what you need.
It’s one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it’s another to think that yours is the only path.
Only a fool trips on what is behind him.
Life is not a competition, don’t compare yourself to other people.
Don’t chase people. Be you, do your own thing and work hard. The right people who belong in your life will come to you and stay.
At the end of the day, when you feel that you have tried your best and you’re proud of yourself- that’s more than enough. And if you find that you’re doubting yourself, improve and do better. There’s no such thing as ‘too late’, as long as you try, there is always another chance.
